Gung Hay Fat Choy! February 19, marked the beginning of the Year of the Sheep and the start of Chinese New Year. We celebrated this event by wearing red to bring prosperity, fortune and luck in the oncoming year. Our keiki gathered in the auditorium and learned all about the history of Chinese Lion Dancing and the lions performed a traditional lion dance for the crowd. Afterwards, the lions visited each classroom to perform a special lion dance and we got to feed the lions with money. Mahalo to all the performers for making this day so memorable!
