It’s our favorite time of year as we head towards the celebration of Christ’s birth. Part of our annual tradition as we head into the winter holidays includes our Snow Day event!

This year kids got frosty at our 13th annual Snow Day held for the preschool in the church’s courtyard. It’s always a joy to see the faces of the keiki light up when they experience “snow”(which is really fifteen tons of finely chopped ice made possible by Unitek Solvent Services).

Organized by the Central Union Church Preschool Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in conjunction with the church, our Snow Day event provides many children with their first winter experience with snow. Children came dressed in colorful winter attire, making snow angels, building snowmen and participating in snowball fights. The children were also able to visit with Santa and his elves for a nice story and some hot cocoa and cookies.

Snow Day is one of the preschool’s favorite events and is the perfect way to end the year as we head into winter break. Thank you to Unitek Solvent Services who has partnered with us all these years, our amazing PTO and our parent volunteers, alumni and current family members who supported the event. What a great way to kick off the holiday season!
