This week we explored Mercury, Mars and Venus.  We also created our own planet! What would you name your planet? Here are some names the children came up with:

"Giraffe Planet"

Lei Day

Welcome to the garden isle!  Room 10 did a great job singing and dancing "Hele on to Kaua'i."  Thank you to all the families who came to our  Lei Day program.

The Big Bang

BOOM!  Stars, moon, planets and the galaxy.  The universe is born!  We are exploring the different planets in May.  This week we talked about the creation of our universe, earth and the moon.  We also talked about spheres and watched them grow in our water table!

Taking our chicks home!!

Our chicks hatched! And each of children from room 10 will have a chance to take a chick home for one night! So far the children that took a chick home have had so much fun! This is a great learning experience.

Camping

Room ten is now "Camp Site 10".  The children are learning about camping and the outdoors. Each day one child at a time has the choice to sleep in the tent during nap time.

Today we painted our caterpillars! We made them out of stockings and pillow stuffing.

Room 9 Visit “The Three Little Pigs” Play

Room 9 students came to visit room 10. They performed the play "The Three Little Pigs". They did an awesome job!!  Thank you room 9 for sharing your story. We loved it!!

The Amazing Bubble Guy

The children got a visit from the amazing bubble guy. This is a picture of what it looks like to be inside of a bubble.

Chinese New Year

 We fed the Dragon for good luck. The dragon's eyes lit up and he blinked his eyes at us. We learned that a lion only has one horn.
