WHAT OUR CUPS ‘OHANA SAY

“CUPS has a special place in our hearts…Both of our kids attended CUPS from 2yrs old…all the way until they prepared for Kindergarten. CUPS has been our home away from home for the most important adolescent years in our children’s lives. We are so grateful for the nurturing care that CUPS has provided for our family and will always cherish our countless memories on campus!”

JC, Current & Former Parent

“Choosing Central Union Preschool was the best decision we made for our child. The nurturing environment, dedicated staff, and outstanding curriculum have allowed our child to thrive both academically and socially. The emphasis on character education and strong communication with parents have been exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend Central Union Preschool to any parent seeking a supportive and enriching early education for their child.”

Jeremy, Current Parent

“I have been fortunate to be a part of Central Union Preschool for the past twenty-four years and blessed to have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful families and to be a part of the children’s educational journey. There is joy in seeing the world through the children’s eyes. Every individual child I have had the pleasure of interacting with has become so special and memorable. I feel as though a mutually beneficial relationship is formed, and I not only teach them, but I learn so much from the children. I truly believe you need to love what you do to make a positive difference in anything you do.

It is heartwarming to see the friendships form between the children. and amongst the families, and the lifelong connection and relationships carried on throughout the years (even beyond their time at CUPS). It is wonderful when the children return and visit their former teachers, and so rewarding to see them when they graduate from high school or college. For me, being at CUPS is not just a job, it is an opportunity to be with my second very extended family. We cheer on one another and celebrate the successes and good times together. When needed, we become the shoulders to lean on for support or someone just to cry with. Central Union Preschool has truly become an extended Ohana to all those who are fortunate to be a part of it.”

Why do I love working at CUPS? Because the keiki always makes me smile. They do and say the cutest things…you can’t help but want to be around the children. I enjoy being a part of their days.

A Blessed and happy new school year – 2024-2025!

At the end of this school year, I will be celebrating forty years of service at CUPS. It has been a very rewarding, happy experience and I have learned a lot over the years.

While my first son was in the preschool program, I started volunteering in his classroom and anywhere I was needed on campus. After a while, the Director at that time, Mrs. Doris Rewick, offered me the job of helping in a classroom during lunch.

I found my passion for being around the children with the friendly, family-oriented staff in this “Happy Place”! CUPS IS that special place where the children are loved and can truly shine.

The staff and teachers are here for one another. We are a family and we simply don’t work and then leave at the end of the day. Instead, we care and look out for each other, both professionally, as well as personally. How can you not be happy when you’re in an environment where love abounds, and you work at a place that’s like a home away from home?

Parents: love, be patient, and enjoy your little “Angels” as one day too soon, you will wake up only to find out they are grown up. But while at CUPS, we promise to take good care of your children, our family, as well.

Mrs. Christensen, After School Care Supervisor

Aloha,
I have been with Central Union Preschool for 21 years. The school has become my second home. Growing up with homemade food daily I really try hard to create that same feel for the children of CUPS. I find it very important for children to have a solid healthy meal made with love, just as my mother did for me daily. I strive to create meals that will create lasting memories for your children.
